This place was ideal for a perfect stay, couldn't recommend more. Our room was brand-new and functional, available with bathroom TV tea, a comfy double bed, the garden.- Marvellous and beautiful location - a short walk to everywhere we needed.

Nice big rooms, big comfortable bed, flat screen TV.
The windows are probably just there to keep the rain out. It is very draughty you have to turn on the heating and the bathroom is not heated. In addition, the bathroom equipment (especially the bathtub) is already very worn out. Water pressure is almost non-existent on the 2nd floor and the flush has no power either.

room size, breakfast, restaurant
I would like the employees to have the same level of knowledge and the same job training, so that inconsistencies could be prevented. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, but we had problems on arrival and departure, which could be prevented by better processes.

We were a group of 10 people. The hotel is very friendly. Breakfast is great and the location is very good for touring in the area. The hotel has its own restaurant and bar. Great for resting after a full day on the road. The house is old but comfortable and the price-performance ratio is right. We would definitely stay here again.

Pub and restaurant in the house. Room facing the garden quiet. Large parking lot in front of the house. Nice staff. Aldi and other restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast can be booked separately, so if you have to leave early, you do not have to pay for it.
Rooms are getting on in years. The shower didn't work for me. Beds have plastic sheeting over the mattress, so that you wake up in the morning sweaty.

We were travelling with a group of 9 people in East Anglia and booked this hotel for 4 nights because it is centrally located and offers very good value for money. Our 5 rooms were spacious, neat and clean. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast is typically English and substantial. We were surprised by the very good dinner in the house with many vegetarian dishes.
Few shelves in the bathroom. Windows were tight.

I ate at a good restaurant with good food.
Wi-Fi signal was very weak, made me a little nervous.

The rooms are all nicely decorated with modern touches and each has a TV that actually works. Plus, there's a cozy bar that's perfect for winding down after a busy day. 🍸

Room very clean and modern. Didn't realise the curtains in our room were just for dress and there was a blind to pull down - as a result got little sleep as sun shone straight in room from dawn. Staff friendly but not attentive - probably because there were too few on duty. Easy to find, plenty of parking, pub across road.
Too few staff; was stood at bar for 15 minutes before anyone came to serve. Full breakfast very small; sausages and black pudding were minuscule and only 1 of each. Not value for money as far as breakfast goes although there were cereals, yoghurt, croissant, fresh fruit and 4 different juices.

Cleaniness, location, near enough to walk thetford forest venue/concert.
Unprofessional staff. No eye contact at reception, no courtesy, wasnt allowed to check in until exactly 2 o clock, told at approx noon that they still had 10 bedrooms to clean?! As previous guests were late checking in. No cook arrived on time to cook breakfast, fawlty towers moment when another guest went through to kitchen to cook breakfast. Health and safety? Checking out of brandon house the same young man didnt even ask if all was ok, just said sorted.

I totally recommend Brandon House. It's in an absolutely perfect location, close to the town center. I appreciated this place and had a really nice stay for a weekend. The staff was efficient and always kept our room very clean. Our room was great-sized and nice looking. It had plenty of meals for breakfast, including cereal and fruit.

Staff were excellent, easy to find location, good parking facilities. Food ok.
Noise of the muzac too loud and not appropriate for type of guests. Not the hotels fault but traffic noise ( I ahd a side room) and with window open level crossing but not enough to spoil your stay. Brandon doesnt have good eating places, unless you like Pukka pies! Except one decent Italian at teh top of the high st ( make sure you ask for no salt on your food). Surpised only one real ale on, Rusty bucket, which is ok.
